TeamPages
- Tasks:
- Design
- Front-End Development
Vancouver startup Teampages tasked me with redesigning their existing marketing site. They knew their conversion rate was pretty good but wanted to improve it as much as possible. My goal was to clarify the user's path through to conversion while maintaining a look and feel that reflected the quality of the product.
I delivered wireframes and mockups and consulted with the client to ensure the user path was inline with their data. I then marked up the finished pages and delivered it to the client to integrate with their backend system.

Tagga v1.5
- Tasks:
- Design
- Front-End Development
One of the larger projects I've undertaken at Tagga has been the redesigning the existing SaaS platform. The Tagga platform is used by a wide-range of brands and agencies to ease their entry into the mobile marketing space and gather detailed analytics. My goal was to improve usability, ease interaction, as well as bring the technology up to the latest standards and expand our capabilities.
To do this, I developed use cases and fleshed out user stories for every interaction on the platform. An ongoing challenge has been improving the usability while keeping familiar patterns for our existing users.

Canadian Cloud Council
- Tasks:
- Design
- Front-End Development
The Canadian Cloud Council is a forum for Canada's thought leaders and consumer advocates in the cloud computing space. They tasked me with designing all of their branding materials as well as posters, agendas, and the microsite for their upcoming convention.
As I don't generally consider myself a brand designer, projects like this can be daunting. Luckily, through experimentation, I stumbled on a great symbol for the cCc early on. The brand quickly developed from there.

Tagga Client Services
- Tasks:
- Design
- Mobile Development
Internally, there are two facets to Tagga Media. The Platform and Client Services. Client Services tackles all of the custom mobile strategy and development work that doesn't fall under the platform umbrella. While the majority of my tasks involve the platform, I also give creative direction and technical advice to the design team that handles all the client services work. Sometimes this also involves spearheading projects when lots of work comes through the door.
For Tagga's CS side, I've designed and developed mobile sites for UFC, Ernst and Young, Red Bull, Goodyear, Dole, SunMaid, Stonyfield and many others.
LocalDibs
- Tasks:
- Design
- Front-End Development
LocalDibs tasked me with coming up with an eye-catching front-end design for their upcoming Groupon-style site. They wanted to quickly communicate featured deals while still encouraging users to click through to other deals.
While the project never made it to launch, I designed and developed the concept for the marketing site, several landing pages, as well as a concept for the backend platform.

About me
I'm an interaction designer and front-end developer living in Vancouver, BC. I'm currently employed by Tagga Media as their UX and UI Design Lead. The majority of my passions lie in technology; however, when it's not raining (yeah, right) I can be found flying my kite, taking photos, or reading my kindle. When I'm not working on awesome mobile projects at Tagga, I'm working on freelance contracts or my own personal projects.
I like all sorts of projects from redesigns to new concepts. I like to come up with new ideas and new designs and I love to take something that already works and make it even better. While I identify most as an interaction designer, I also enjoy pure front-end development projects as they help me sharpen my skillset. I'm an independent worker which means I can handle your project solo or blend right into your existing team. I work full-time right now so I'm selective in the projects I take on, but I'm always looking for cool ideas to collaborate on.
